Piedmont Hospital ER severely mistreated my sister. I’ll never forget the nightmare we experienced, but she was the one that suffered. She had fractured tailbones and was unable to walk or sit. There was no help to get into the ER and once we finally stumbled inside she was forced to sit in a chair because they said she could not lie down. She suffered in excruciating pain for over 8 hours while before they saw her. The only reason we came there is because she was involved with the Liver Transplant section and the only way they could see her was for her to come to the ER plus she had a MRI scheduled there (she missed due to waiting in the ER). We came all the way from north Georgia, passing other hospitals we should have gone to (in hindsight). My sister died a few days later. The suffering she experienced in the Piedmont Hospital ER on Peachtree St. in inexcusable! I would recommend that everyone avoid this ER and/or make sure you only go there via an ambulance because they obviously prioritized ambulances to be first irregardless of ones condition.
