On June 12,2013 I tripped and fell face first into a brick wall. After bleeding copious amounts of blood, I was found by my husband. We gathered several towels in an attempt to keep the car clean. After arriving to the ER we were signed in and told to wait. After 5 minutes of sobbing in pain they brought me back to a sink and had me clean off some of the blood running down my arms and legs. They took my info and vital signs and told us that there was 4 people ahead of us so it will be awhile. The pain I was in was incredible and the blood was still gushing and I was crying. The 4 people ahead of me had no visual emergencies. I can't believe that there is no exceptions to the first come first serve policy. The nurse practitioner I saw seemed unsympathetic and the nurses giving shots had to be shown by another nurse how to give the shot. Things seemed unorganized and we waited a long time inbetween seeing nurses. I pray that I won't have anymore true emergencies while living in Kokomo!
